7 Restaurants In Mumbai That Will Speak To Your Inner Sindhi

All of us already know that Mumbai is the hub for foodies. Every street has such amazing food to offer be it parathas, samosas, Chinese, and more. Today, however, we’re gonna talk about Sindhi food. Mumbai has some really good restaurants that serve insane dal pakwan and Sindhi kadhi. Here they are.

1. Sindhful, Multiple Outlets

MM Recommends: Dal Pakwan
Approximate Cost For Two: ₹800 ++

2. Kailash Parbat, Multiple Outlets

MM Recommends: Sai Bhaji
Approximate Cost For Two: ₹1,000 ++

3. Duma Dum Mast Kalandar, Chembur

MM Recommends: Sindhi Mutton Dry
Approximate Cost For Two: ₹700 ++

4. Vig, Chembur

I am not a fan of the lumpy pattice and the bland ragda of the ragda pattice of Mumbai and never order it. The Sindhi chhole pattice, at the Punjabi owned VIG Refreshment at Chembur, is another level of hotness though. The outer breadcrumb layer of the shallow fried pattice is crunchy. The layer of potato mash below that, well seasoned. At the core it has a well spiced but not overspiced Bengal gram or channa heart. The combination of the pattice with the hearty chhole, which has little potato bits snuggled in it, and sliced raw red onion and the watery coriander and green chilly pounded green chill chutney is what the phrase ‘breakfast of champions’ is all about. Eat the pattice when freshly fried rather than parcelling them to take them home, take a friend along so that you can share the dietary sins and celebrate life together. #sindhifood #chholepattice #pattice #VIG #breakfast #finelychoppedbrekfasts #breakfastofchampions #foodblogger #foodwriter #foodie #mumbaifood #indianfood #vegetarianfood #chickpea #croquette #instafood #mumbaifinelychopped #mumbaistories #immigrantstories #mumbaiheritage #chembur #mumbaibreakfast
